MEDAERE’s partnership with UNIMED enabled the network to contribute to activities linked to COP30 events. This collaboration helped ensure that Mediterranean scientific perspectives were represented in broader international climate discussions, further enhancing MEDAERE’s visibility within global policy forums. In particular, MEDAERE was among the over 80 institutions that signed the Girona Manifesto that was presented at COP30 on November 12, 2025, during the event organized by Union for the Mediterranean and UNIMED to officially launch the Euromed University Initiative for Climate Action.
